X-ray structures are available (PDB: 1IIT) (Lee et al. 2005; Lee et al. 2008)  GluR6 (TC# 1.A.10.1.11), carrying the pore loop plus adjacent transmembrane domains of this prokaryotic, glutamate-gated, K+-selective GluR0, adopted several electrophysiological properties of the donor pore upon pore transplantation (Hoffmann et al. 2006).
