3.A.1.149.1 ABC immunity system, TrnFG, protecting the bacteria from the bacteriocin, thuricin CD. TrnF is of 213 aas and 6 TMSs while TrnG is of 285 aas and 0 TMSs. A 79 aa protein, TrnI with 2 TMSs, also provides immunity against thuricin CD, but the mechanism is unknown (Mathur et al. 2014). These proteins incoded in the thuricin operon.
