virus entry into the host cell. Membrane fusion is mediated by the
fusion machinery composed at least of gB (907 aas; 3 TMSs, 1 N-terminal and 2 near the C-terminus; similar to gB of 1.G.10.1.1) and the heterodimer gH/gL.
