transmembrane signaling systems including transporters (channels and carriers) (see Family description). G protein subunit beta1 plays a role in regulating transmembrane signal transduction, but it also facilitates influenza A virus replication by promoting the nuclear import of the RNA polymerase subunit, PB2 (Zheng et al. 2022).
