Neutral and cationic amino acid:Na+:Cl- symporter, B0+ or ATB(0,+). The rat homologue (NP_001032633) transports basic and zwitterionic amino acids, but not proline, aspartic acid and glutamic acid (Uchiyama et al, 2008).  SLC6A14 depends on heat shock protein HSP90 for trafficking to the cell surface (Rogala-Koziarska et al. 2019). It is upregulated in some forms of cancer; residues important for function have been identified (Palazzolo et al. 2019). Flagellin from Pseudomonas aeruginosa stimulates ATB(0,+) transporter for arginine and neutral amino acids in human airway epithelial cells (Barilli et al. 2021).
