The Lec15/Lec35 suppressor, SL15, MPDU1 or SLC66A5, of 247 aas and probably 7 TMSs. It is a suppressor of the Lec15 and Lec35 glycosylation mutations (Ware and Lehrman 1998). The human ortholog is 89% identical to this protein. This protein may be required for normal utilization of mannose-dolichol phosphate
(Dol-P-Man) in the synthesis of N-linked and O-linked oligosaccharides
and GPI anchors.
