membrane including NMDA-type and metabotropic glutamate receptors via
complexes with GKAP/PSD-95 and HOMER, respectively (Shcheglovitov et al. 2013). SHANK is regulated epigenetically and interacts with GluR1. It is a monogentic cause of autism (ASD) and schizophrenia (Monteiro and Feng 2017).
