Penetratin or Homeobox protein; also called Antennapedia complex peptide (3-d structure known; PDB: 1OMQ; 16 aas). It is a cell penetrating peptide that can carry cargo of various types including drugs (Pescina et al. 2018). Statins boost the cellular uptake and endosomal escape of penetratin due to reduction of the membrane dipole potential (Batta et al. 2021).
