8.A.92.1.19 RhoA GTPase of 193 aas. A small GTPase which cycles between an active GTP-bound and an inactive
GDP-bound state. It mainly associated with the cell cytoskeleton; in the
active state it binds to a variety of effector proteins to regulate
cellular responses such as cytoskeletal dynamics, cell migration and
cell cycle (Wei et al. 2013). It regulates KCNA2 potassium channel activity by reducing its location at
the cell surface in response to CHRM1 activation; promotes KCNA2
endocytosis (Stirling et al. 2009). Differential regulation of Cx43 and Cx26 hemichannels and gap junction channels
by RhoA GTPase and the actin cytoskeleton has been observed (Jara et al. 2024).
