The tripartite attachment complex 40 (TAC40) protein of 359 aas and 12 putative β-strands in a β-barrel.  It is involved mitochondrial genome inheritance and is present in the outer mitochondrial membrane (Schnarwiler et al. 2014).  It is a mitochondrial porin and may represent a class of porins distinct from VDAC, Tom40 and the fungal MDM10 protein (all in family 1.B.8).
