Adhesion-like Protein (AP) Superfamily

Two families in TCDB, 8.A.23 and 1.H.2 include several members that are related to adhesion proteins, some apparently containing Leucine Rich Repeats (LRRs). In Family 8.A.23 some of these homologs include Contactin, Hemicentrin, neuroglian and Nephrin, while some of those in Family 1.H.2 include Fascielin, Leucocyte antigen, Lachesin, Nephrin and Neuroglian. Fewer distant homologs are also found in other TC families.
