9.B.260.  The Uncharacterized Protein from Uncultured Bacteria-9 (UPUB9) Family 

This family consists of large proteins (~450 - 550 aas) with a long hydrophilic N-terminal domain that may be a protease domain and shows some seqence similarity with the YggT proteins (TC# 9.B.4).  In contrast to the YggT proteins which have from 2 - 6 TMSs, UPUB9 proteins have a C-terminal domain of about 6 TMSs following the hydrophilic domain. They are only from uncultured bacteria.
