1.Q: Fungal Septal Pores

Many fungi form long strands of cells in branching, thread-like hyphae called mycelia. The indiviual cells are interconnected by septal pores which close upon injury.  Many proteins called septal pore-associated (SPA) proteins have been shown to be associated with these septal pores.
