8.B.15.1.3 Precursor protein UG (U-actitoxin-Ugr1c; U-AITX-Ugr1c; AnmTX Ugr) of 162 aas and 1 N-terminal TMS. Pi-AnmTX Ugr 9a-1: affects the ASIC3 channel
(ACCN3) and produces analgesic effects. It produces a reversible
inhibitory effect on both the transient and the sustained current of
human ASIC3 channels expressed in X. laevis oocytes. It completely blocks
the transient component (IC50=10 µM) and partially (48%) inhibits the amplitude of the sustained component (IC50=1.44 µM). Using in vivo tests in mice, it reverses inflammatory and acid-induced pain (Osmakov et al. 2013). The NMR structure is known (5LAH_A).
