2.B.84. The bis-Amido Imadazole Receptor/Transporter (bAIR/T)
Shinde and Talukdar 2019 have synthesised a series of bisamido-imidazole receptors (29a–f) shown in the figure below. These compounds were shown to function as H+/Cl− co-transporters in an HPTS assay but were also shown to be capable of facilitating chloride/nitrate exchange using a lucigenin assay. A comparison of anion transport activity showed that compound 29a was the most effective transporter in this series (Davis et al. 2020).
